Abstract
Among the four main skills in education, reading is an important skill that plays a major role in language development and strengthening the communication skills of language learners. One of the influential factors in learning this skill is preparing and compiling appropriate and leveled texts for reading, which in addition to linguistic information, can also teach learners about culture and society. In the educational system of our society, not much scientific and original work has been done in the field of preparing such texts in teaching Persian to non-Persian speakers. The present study tries to provide a coherent and leveled content for teaching this skill based on Quranic stories with the help of content preparation and compilation approach. For this purpose, first, the Qur'anic story has been analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively based on the readability formula. In the next step, based on the principles related to content preparation and theories related to the activity-oriented approach, the preparation of teaching materials for reading skills to non-Persian learners, adult language learners with intermediate language level is discussed. The results of the present study show that Quranic stories have the capacity to teach Persian language; Because they have characteristics such as realism, attractiveness, diversity and familiarity for learners, these characteristics are desirable for all theories of language teaching. Also, the use of Quranic stories in teaching Persian language helps to spread Islamic-Iranian culture in the best way. Also, compiling these stories according to the level of ability of the language learners and using the readability index in preparing and compiling the course materials can be helpful.
