Abstract
With the arrival of the SMS service in Iran in August 2002, a fundamental change took place in the era of national and public relations. This service is one of the most widely used and attractive communication services that has attracted the attention of different groups in occasions and ceremonies. There are various magazines and publications as well as sites that have dedicated their work to publishing text messages for public use. The present article intends to analyze the structure and content of SMS in issue 74 of Payamara cultural magazine using statistical analytical method and to analyze and explain the issue by giving examples of each. The two basic questions we seek to answer are: To what extent does the text message follow the literary norm, and in principle, which type of text message is more popular? The results show that a high percentage of text messages, ie 91.8%, followed the literary norm and only 8.2% of them were far from this norm. Romantic text messages were also the most popular with a frequency of 25.2%, and unfortunately only 4.3% of the text messages dealt with mystical and religious issues.
