Causes of students' weakness in Persian literature course (case study)

Abstract

The present article examines the causes of students' weakness in the seventh grade Persian literature course in Yazd. For this purpose, the statistical population in seven schools of this city includes: principals (10 people), seventh grade teachers (8 people) and also 50 parents of seventh grade students who have been selected by random sampling method. In this study, a 32-item researcher-made questionnaire was used. The statistical method used in the research is the frequency percentage and the method of scoring the items of the questionnaire. After calculating the scores, the cases that scored above 190 were considered as the most effective factors of students' weakness, which are: Lack of mastery of some seventh grade teachers in understanding and facilitating Persian literature course (226), qualitative Lack of grades in elementary school and its decrease in seventh grade (222), lack of attention to Persian literature in the national media (216), lack of specialization of teachers in elementary school (206), students' reluctance to study Persian literature due to not knowing how Reading method (203), lack of importance to Persian literature in society (200), lack of educational counselors in schools (195), lack of parental awareness of the importance of literature in life (194) and lack of parental attention to Persian literature (191) ).
