Abstract
According to social linguists, language and culture are inseparable concepts and the signs of the language system cannot be removed from their cultural meanings. Therefore, today the importance of cultural education in language teaching is emphasized a lot. For this purpose, in qualitative and quantitative research, the cultural elements in "Perfa" textbooks and alphabet books were investigated and analyzed based on the cultural aspects of Adasco, Britton, and Fahsi (1990). Therefore, a body of the alphabet book and three textbooks in three basic, intermediate, and advanced levels were prepared. Their cultural elements were presented in Tables based on the framework of Adasco, Britton, and Fahsi (1990). It was observed during the examination of the "Perfa" book collection, that the frequency of the cultural elements was significantly more presented and the sociological, semantic, and aesthetic elements were placed in the next ranked respectively. Therefore, it was concluded that the cultural elements include the inclusion of different aspects of Iranian culture necessary to strengthen the communicative skills of language learners.
