The application of Shahnameh in Persian language teaching based on the integration of Halliday and Preston's theory

Abstract

Teaching Persian is important because it familiarizes learners with the lifestyle and thoughts of its great figures. Optimal education is based on applied research. Ferdowsi is the god of Persian speech, so Shahnameh can also be used in teaching non-Persian speakers the language and understand and appreciate its literary delights.The lyrical discourses of Shahnameh have been chosen because the soul and soul of the language learner are delighted by the romances in this epic work, and then, they have been introduced in a methodical and scientific way in teaching different levels of the aforementioned books. This research shows that these discourses can be used at the beginning, middle and advanced levels of learning, due to the correspondence of the verbs used in the verses with the verbs of the various processes of Halliday's theory in the field of meanings.And because it incorporates elements of Preston's theory of linguistic interaction, it is also effective in increasing the level of learning.
