Abstract
One of the most difficult skills to learn in a second language, which many language teachers agree on, is the "writing / writing" skill. Learning this skill requires mastery of various linguistic, cognitive, and socio-cultural abilities. Most research on second language writing has been heavily dependent on first language research. This shows that the learner's ability to write, summarize, or analyze a text in his or her mother tongue does not necessarily mean that he or she will be able to do the same in a second language. However, mastery of the first language is also somewhat effective on writing in the second language. This article pursues two goals: First: to review important findings on the theory of writing skills training and research on the characteristics of teaching this skill, which Persian learners will be able to write in acceptable ways in Persian. Second, achieving the goal of how these trainings can help them achieve these skills. In this article, in addition to examining different trends and strategies in teaching second language writing, research related to first and second language writing, second language writing teaching patterns with academic goals, as well as practical experience for language writing classes. Persian is suggested.
